I pursued my graduate studies in Economics at New York University, where I obtained an M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Business of ITAM in Mexico. Previously, I was a Lecturer in Economics at Trinity College Dublin, and an Instructor in Economics at New York University (while still a graduate student).
My research interests can be classified within the broad field of Applied Microeconomic Theory, with a particular interest in Industrial Organization and Competition Policy. My research so far has focused on durable goods markets, but I also have a paper on regulation. You can find a list of my papers here (and I welcome any comments you may have). Besides durable goods, I am currently working on price discrimination, investment in R&D, and price cycles. But I also have interests in Strategy & Economics, Political Economics, and Behavioral & Experimental Economics.
I have an extensive teaching experience. Right now, at the School of Business of ITAM, I am teaching courses on Business Strategy and Managerial Economics, where I make thorough use of my past experience teaching Industrial Organization. But I have also taught undergraduate courses in Economics: Microeconomics (all levels), Mathematics & Statistics, International Trade, and Growth & Development. And some day I would love to teach graduate courses on Industrial Organization, Microeconomics and Game Theory.
